Waddup, for sale/testing waters on my 1973 Datsun 510 2-door. Seeing what I can get for my beauty. I have a price in mind that I would like for the vehicle that I will not go below personally. A lot of meticulous care has been put into this car. If it doesn't sell for the price in mind i'll just keep the car. On to the details behind this vehicle.
[Year:] 1973
[Make:] Datsun
[Model:] 510
[Chassis/Exterior:]
This is the 2-door model. Interior is nearly complete. The only missing components would be the headliner and carpet. The car was completely stripped down to the chassis and painted a custom blend bird shit green. The color code can be provided to the buyer if requested. Car was reassembled with all parts being reconditioned to near perfect standards. The front and rear bumpers are off a 1968 Datsun 510. Both had been re-chrommed to a mirror finish. One way to tell that the bumpers are from a 1968 is that the rear license plate light mounts to the rear bumper, unlike newer years, the license plate lights were mounted on the rear trunk area. That is a really rare piece to come across. The original license plate lights were completely filled and sanded down smooth, as well as the rear vents that are behind the rear quarter panel windows. The car was fitted with BRE fender flares in both the front and rear. All hardware is either brand new or reconditioned. The car has all new weather seals from front to back. My most favorite piece on this vehicle would be the Bluebird front end with euro H4 headlights and Dobi Skirt front lip. This really sets off the car, resembling a mini skyline. The chassis harness was completely removed and made from scratch using OEM style connectors, shrink tubing, and mesh sleeving. All wires are hooked up to factory switches to give it that true classic car feeling without a switch panel that is commonly used. Battery was relocated in the trunk to clean up the engine bay. The sideview mirrors were off a 1972 Mercedes Benz for a more simple and clean look.
[Interior:]
The rear bench and door cards were re-upolshtered tan. The front seats are old school Recaros that are a 9/10 condition. Brand new dash pad. Dash itself is in excellent condition. No cracks, fading, etc. of any kind. The car has a 320mm(?) Personal Wood Grain steering wheel. The car also has a retrofitted top mount gas pedal rather than the floor mounted gas pedal. The car also has a 5-pane rear view mirror.
[Suspension:]
The car is sitting on koni yellows with full coilovers all around. The car has upgraded full disc brakes as well. The rear disc brakes are from 80-82 nissan maxima with the full adapter bracket system. In addition to the full coilover setup the front is also equipped with camber plates. All bushings were swapped out to polyurethane.
[Wheels/Tires:]
The car is sitting on XXR 002 15 x 8 0 Offset. I know the car is sitting on copies, haven't found the perfect wheels that I would want on this car at the moment. Tires are Falken Ziex 512 195/50/15 in the front with 80% tread left and Falken Ziex 502 205/50/15 in the rear with 50% tread left. Please note: One lug nut was stripped, but shouldn't be of any problem to replace.
[Engine:]
The heart of this vehicle is from a 1991 Nissan 240SX KA24DE. The engine was disassembled and rebuilt. The engine block is painted matched to the exterior color. The valve cover and other misc. items were chromed. The engine has aftermarket headers that is connected to a straight pipe all the way back to a hallow aftermarket exhaust. GODSPEED intake manifold. All aluminum radiator with two 12'' electric fans. All seals are brand new. Factory clutch and flywheel. Transmission shifts like butter. Engine harness was modified to work with my custom chassis harness. ECU and such are mounted underneath the dash, tucked away from everything. In the rear, the stock gas tank was modified to house a 1980-82 280ZX electric fuel pump. This gives the user the convenience to swap to different rated fuel pumps with regards to your engine setup. Welded diff. Polyurethane motor mounts. Rumbles like a beast.
This was my ultimate dream car, and I hate to give it up. But time isn't stopping and I have other things to take care of. Hopefully one day I can get another one and keep it.
I think i've covered majority of the vehicle, now enough of my babbling on to the pictures, I think they speak for themselves...
