nice cool car..
where in Az are you ?
Im in Tucson, and have a 71 S30 original RHD Fairlady
myself amongst many other cars in my collection.
Mine is about 70 % restored thus far.
I should post up some pics since Im sort of new here.
Good luck with the sale.

thats a pretty good distance from Tucson and mines not totally
road worthy yet. Im still re assembling mine after getting it back
from the painter last yr.
Heres a before pic.
It was in Hawaii for many yrs and then at a Navel Base in
SanDiego for many yrs. I bought it back in 2003 as you see
it in this pic.
Very nice, everything looks in great original condition. I hope anyone who buys this does a full original restoration instead of a restomod. There are too many good pristine pieces to not keep it all original. It wouldn't take all that much to restore it to when it left the assembly line.
Please correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not very familiar with the JDM equivalents but from my knowledge of USDM Z's that MAY LOOK like a 260z 2+2 due to the skinny bumpers and front lower turn signals BUT I know that the USDM market required the larger bumpers due to stricter regulations.
'76+ USDM 280z's had the big bumpers and had the turn signals incorporated into the grill.
I should know I have one :)
Thus you have the 280z powerplant yet the 240z/260z looks which are more sought after and this is another proving point that it is indeed an original JDM vehicle.
Also just a fyi that JDM grille alone would fetch a pretty penny.
Gl with the sale, shame that you've got to see it go, you should restore it instead! It wouldn't take all that much!

this is the car after I got back from my body guy and painted..
Im in the process of putting it back together...
got all new weatherstripping, and carpet...re did the front seats
too. It has all the original glass etc. Trying to keep the car as close
to factory as possible. It only has 19k original kilometers on it.
Also had the bumpers straightend and rechromed with all new OEM
NOS rubber bumpers parts too.
I can see resto modding a avg LHD Z, but not a RHD car, they are
just way too rare. I know of less then 50 to exist here in the states
76 and older. Mines a 71

too many kids these days are ruining alot of cars..
but my generation did the same thing too with our cars
and now look at their values.
Btw , I also have a real Toyota Soarer, I imported from
Japan back in 2000.

Very Cool! My Dad was also at Yakota, we were there '83-'86. My mom and my dad both drove S30's while there, and my Dad brought his rhd 280Z back to the states when we came back. Unfortunately it succumbed to rot and cancer after many years of being parked and is in Z heaven now. It was the inspiration for me to buy my own S30 though.
Good luck with the sale! Car looks to be in great shape -- thats the difference b/t a car stored in AZ and one stored in the midwest.:bigok:

Ive seen maybe 1 imported jdm fairlady z all my life, when i was a teen. I scored a fiberglass 2piece G nose from craigslist, and some black jdm mirrors off ebay this year, was planing to get an s30z but money is short.
Your car is pretty cool, it is an S31 . I been jealous of how japan got to keep the pure looks of the car with the small bumpers and we got the heavier boat. I would hate to see someone put a v8 in this, would be horrible, keep it jdm themed.

Gorgeous Fairlady. Incredible turbo as well... What numbers is she puttin down?
Thanks for the bump fellow Fairlady Owner!
Thanks a lot. The last time she was on the dyno it was 520 whp. The car currently weighs 2150.
Since then I have added a VE head and switching to E85, I would like to see about 650whp
I wouldnt lower the price of your car too much, its a very rare car and in great condition.
Listing this on ebay might be better than ziliva
