So I haven't ever driven rwd in winter, I live in alberta and sometimes the winters can get pretty bad, can I have some opinions? Rust isn't a big deal ill be fixing it as soon as any shows up, I wanna know if it's actually had bad as people make it sound and what are the best tires to get?

If you cant handle it, park it and get a winter beater.

If your cautious and take care, you shouldn't have a issue?

Agree with jj_sr.... Just park it and buy I cheap beater car... Even if your a good driver and careful... It's all the other drivers on the road u have to worry about running into your car. I live in edmonton Alberta and I park my 180sx cause it's not worth the risk and those cars are useless in heavy snow. Also as you should know the roads here in Alberta are complete ice most of the winter. Simply go buy a $1200 Toyota, civic, what ever is reliable and just drive that

I'm in Calgary too and I drove my ka24 s13 through 2 winters on 4 winter tires with no problems however with your car the power doesn't really make a difference you just don't drive stupidly and you'd do fine however the only part that would make it almost impossible is an upgraded clutch. If you were running a stock clutch you could hands down do it but if you have any kind of upgraded one you're just gonna spin. I have a 300hp sr and wouldn't even attempt to drive it in the winter with all studded tires, as well my one 240 from going through 2 winters went from perfectly clean to one of the most rusty ones around and I even washed it all the time. Definitely not worth it even if you can fix it, it will never be the same.

My advice, just get a beater and call it a day.

i live in montana and i agree with everyone else get another car i tried to drive mine for 2 weeks into winter and got sick of gettting stuck on flat ground and couldent see spending 6-7-8 hundo on winter tires so i bought a honda for 1500. it was fun but when it came time to to go to work runnning late it was a problem couldent hardly accelerate with a tiny bit of snow and ive got a rino lined sub box with 2 20lb 10's and 2 amps its at least 100lbs didnt help much and all i had was header, exhaust, intake normal N/A mods. with good tires you MIGHT be fine. my first car was a 2wd ranger with bfg T/As and i drove it for 2 years winter and summer same deal though if its snowing good its a pain in the ass

Just get a winter beater, it will make your life easier. And would be safer.

You'll be fine.

It isn't like your car builds gobs of torque low, so you're fine as long as you aren't driving like an ass-hat.

your car might make 350whp at max rpms at wot, but if you just lightly accellerate you will only be making 40-60whp. just dont punch it constantly on ice, and you will be fine.
