That's nothing. couple degrees of camber, rolled and pulled fenders and some stretched tire and it will look perfect. you don't need wide fenders.

You guys have the car up on jacks. With it like this, the wheels will setfar outside cause they are not compressed and have no negative camber. What size tires is he planning to run. SHould really roll the fenders. PJ crashed his car cause of a wide wheel and no rolled fenders. Tire? POP.

As for the rear wheels. Aren't those 18's? I dont think FN01RCs are offered in 17x9.5

If the front fenders have a lip you can sand it or dremel it off. DO IT!!!! Cause you do not want to crash.

sure it is they only put two on. get the other two and pop their cherries :) Rims look good like the sizes

SilviaDriver
04-26-2004, 09:18 AM
haha forgot bout the other two

i first ordered 18x9.5 +22 from jspec in bronze..then later changed my order to hyperblack and 18x9.5 +12..but they couldnt change the offsets in time or something..so they sent me the +22

but im happy with +22..no need for such low offsets as of now

but throw me some comments bout my tire sizes..

225/45/17
235/40/18

wat do u guys think? good tire sizes? im still a bit fuzzy on the knowledge of tire sizes

one thing that is good bout these wheels...no problems with z32 brake clearence at all..the rear rims make my rotors look small =[

RBS14
04-26-2004, 09:51 AM
those tire sizes are good. I've got 17x9's and 225/45 is nice. Little stretched but not much. You don't need to run much camber either. I'm running -2, rolled fenders with room to spare.

nah... roll only... no pulling necessary... a 9.5 +22 is pretty damn flush with a little negative camber in the rear... but a 10.5 +26 is even nicer ;)

and don't forget to relocate your harness after you slam in front hahaha... I forgot and had a little accident with it while sliding.

I'm not pissed off here. But I'm so sick of everyone saying that. Maybe it would be different if I lived in California, but I never see these wheels ever in person. Sure lots of people have them, and you see them on the net all the time. But has it ever occured to you that they are great wheels? No Z brake clearance problems, great sizes, great offets, great weight, AND GREAT PRICE. I've been trying to pick out wheels for ever now, it's the hardest decision I think I've ever made about my car, and I keep being led back to the FN01RC's. Sure, I'd love to have many other wheels, Nismo LM GT4, Volk TE-37, etc. etc., too bad I'm not rich. I'd also rather have R33 GTR, but they're too rare, and my tires are gone, I can't wait around for a pair to pop up, and for that person to want too much money. Ok, rant over lol.

:bigok: I love the wheels. I'm getting bronze I think for my black 1997 , that is, if I ever decide!

95Blue240sx
04-27-2004, 11:36 AM
yeah choosing wheels are a hard choice, hint why i tried SilviaDriver's rims on. im still undecided. i've been looking in the gallery, in the post your pic thread and still havent decided. hard choice!

on another note, every seems to have these wheels, but from what i seen around here in San Jose. only like 2 people have them. a black zenki, dont know your name(Jay's friend), and SilviaDriver. the price is really a factor and the FN's are great for the price and sizes. they may be popular rims, but thats only online, unless you goto a drift even.

Who the hell would run a stupid size like 10.5 +26?!?! Only a CRAZY man would!!! :loco:

And yes.....if your low enough, relocate the harness under the front left fender...

hmm.. my friend forest is running 215/40/17 for front and 225/45/18 on rear. looks pretty mean ....especially the front. he wants to go 215/45 in the rear next though. depends what you want. is this daily driving and no drifting? do you want the stretched look? do you want to slam it? do you want the decrease in sidewall flex? i know for a lot of tires, theres a big difference between 215 and 225. and for 225, there isn't too many with an aspect ratio of 40. so what did you want? for that slammed stretched look, i'd definitely go with 215/40 front, and at least 225/45 rear. but if you're gonna daily drive like 100+ miles a day or drive roads w/ lots of pot holes and want your tires to last, i'd go with what you have there.

i like those wheels...

But on my Maroon 91' Coupe i think the Typhoons in gunmetal with the polished lip would look much much better....

Only problem is the need for spacers....

they are "played" becuz u see them on the NET!! we are talkin bout a 240 board across the WORLD here..not in a certain area

u can say TE37s are played...many poeple have them..same for Advan model 5...people all over the world have them

like 95blue240sx said

but from what i seen around here in San Jose. only like 2 people have them. a black zenki, dont know your name(Jay's friend), and SilviaDriver.

all i care bout is my area...back when i had typhoons..i was one of the few that had typhoons at first..now a lot of people have them...personally..ive never seen FN01R-Cs on 240s around my area..ive seen them on Hondas...but hell who hasnt seen TE37s on Hondas too...theres a guy with an Integra with TE37s

is it becuz TE37s cost a lot so tis more "rare"..hell i see it all over the net..so y is my wheels "played" becuz u see them all over the net..and TE37s are not played on the net..like i said..all i care bout is my area and who has them..and in my area not many people have them...so they are considered kinda rare here

good price..nice size/width/offsets...y should i pass? oh thats right..i forgot..i should pass on them becuz they are "played"

i dont care. as long as i like them..and i do..then its all tha tmatters.

FN01RC's own. where else can you find a wheel in good sizes and offsets for a good price stateside? Who cares if other people don't like them? rock em anyways. If you want them and still want to "stand out from the crowd" you can paint them to your liking........ how bout that?

I love mine, strong as hell and cheap.... what more could i ask for? They're just FN01RC's, who cares.

why the hell does everyone on the internet let everyone else get under their skin?.......[/rhetorical question]

Yeah, but remember I was running 245's up front. I go for the large footprint over sidewall flex. 225/40/R17's would be quite a bit better (I've got 225/45's right now, with rolled fenders, soon to be flared a bit).

As for the rear wheels. Aren't those 18's? I dont think FN01RCs are offered in 17x9.5
Hmm... if FN01Rc's are available in 17x9.5 I just might get some :D I'll prolly stick to the plan for 17x9 and 17x10.5 mustang rims (245 front 275 rear).

That jack is crap. Its the same 80 dollar jack you can get at kragens now. Saddle height is too high, and the frame of the jack is designed such that you can't get the jack under a stock 240 with a lip.

The release valve to lower the jack is extremely sensitive, which makes it very easy to drop your car down hard.

The only good points of that jack are its weight (easy to install differentials or a tranny) and taking it to the track to take wheels on and off.
