Hey Guys

I have an R32 Skyline with RB20DET and I'm looking to switch to an electric fan and race rad.

I know a lot of guys run OEM fans from vehicles. like my buddy runs a volvo fan in his SR20DET S13.

I'm just wondering does anyone know what OEM fan works good and from what year make and model of vehicle?

I'm worried about clearence so if anyone has experience using one that'd be great.

thanks.

Just buy some ISIS E-fans from ebay or Enjuku and call it a day. Search for whatever fans have the highest CFM and then just from price :s101:

You can never go wrong with a clutch fan, pretty much fail-safe. If you buy a aftermarket radiator, you wlshoupdnt have a clearance problem with the rb20 clutch fan. If you do e fans, get the altima ones or a flex-a-lite. They are pretty good, but oem fan is better

^+1 I'm with this guy, I've always been taught that unless your running a full blown race car you don't need e-fans unless it's for clearence issues.
They usually give you more problems than they are worth and the clutch fans never fail.
But Altima fans are a cheap and reliable alternative.

u have to mount the fan on the back of the clutch instead of the front and shave all the blades a little to clear the crank damper, that's how i did mine, but keep in mind i built my own brackets and the engine sits very far back. I am currently looking to get an high performance radiator, it should be a very tight fit.

I'm running Altima fans. Dual fans. Motors are reversable polarity and dual speed. Running them as pushers, had to trim a SHIT TON but they fit. Can't tell you how well they actually work, because my rb isn't running yet, buuuut they MOVE some air
