Hey Zilvians. I am trying to get my TPS adjusted to the recomended .45v closed and 4-5v WOT. The problem I have is my adjustment is with car set to on but not running. and tps plugged in I am able to adjust from approx. .7xv down to .56. at .56 im out of adjustablity.. Does it sound like I installed tps wrong or.. has anyone seen this.. ? its brand new tps.

Make sure you are metering the correct wires, first and foremost.

According to Enjuku, closed throttle reading should be between .46 - .49v.

Check the WOT voltage and see where it's at... Then go from there.

Yea I know it should be there. and I am on the right wires without a doubt. even if I were backwards on the two it would still give me correct reading with a "-" sign in front of it.

Could my idle adjustment have something to do with it? maybe throttle is slightly open all the time?

I havent considered the throttle screw, but that may be possible if its holding it slightly open. Also try and adjust the tps with teh car running, i believe the voltage will be slightly different between key on, and engine running.

That must be it because WOT does read correctly. Ill check that when I get home and update this thread. If anyone has any other ideas feel free to chime in.

You don't want to play with it with the car running... If WOT is good, then fire it up & take it for a spin. We are only talking a difference of .07V...

Definitely check the screw on the TB and make sure the pulley is fully against the closed-throttle stop.

Yea im not going to touch while running. Im gonna check it out after work. It drives fine now. But I just remember voltages being weird.
