Well i was taking my cam caps off and one of those oily slippery cam cap bolts slipped out of my hand and went right down inside of where the timing chain is. And it went far down. Luckily the engine is out of the car. How in the hell am i going to get that bolt out? what is the best way? Do i HAVE to take the front cover off?

If you can see it, use one of these Amazon.com: Flexible Claw Pick Up Tool Automotive Mechanic Shop 24": Home & Kitchen (http://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Claw-Automotive-Mechanic-Shop/dp/B000RB7AGY), or one that has a magnet on the end of it. Save me tons of headaches.

might be worth heading down to your local sears or autozone and see if they have a flexible magnet and pull it up

I cant see it. It went way down in there. I am going to have to remove the lower pan and that little black plate in there and the front cover probably. Damn im going to need some cold beer for this.

Check the pan first... You may have gotten lucky. Otherwise, you're disassembling your motor.

If the engine is on an engine stand you can try to turn it upside down and the bolt might fall out. If not, you're taking the oil pan off and maybe the front timing cover. I've had the same thing happen to me on my buddy's SR, but I could see it and get it out with a magnet.
