So pretty much I'm a baller on a budget. I need to replace the clutch on my S13. Has a sr20det redtop with basic bolt ons (intake, 3" down pipe, 3"exhaust, front mount etc etc.) I was Looking at getting a father and sons clutch from here in Southern Cali. Does anyone have any experiences with their clutch kits?

Advice*

That said I'd go get a 'stage 2' or stage 3 depending your budget....from the eBay dealer based out of so cal (brea to be more exact) that sells the 'f1' brand. U can contact them through eBay or find their number on google(forget the name of the company) anyways... They're painted ricer blue and everyone hates on them because they're cheap and ugly and all around seems like a shitty eBay product YET when I and 2 other drivers I know bought the 'stage 2' it actually turned out to be an exedy 'stage 1' just spray painted blue and in a 'f1' box. And yes it was a real exedy. Pressure plate had logo stamped in the metal cover and pressure plate looked identical to the exedy I was actually replacing previously in the car. So maybe we just got lucky and they just spray paint and market what ever they have as over stock as 'f1' but if you're local it's worth driving out the their warehouse and asking to look at one and seeing if u have the same luck we did.
anyways good luck and let the basing, flaming, and great clutch debate begin (u can thank me later cuz by saying this it keeps people from actually doing it 90% of the time on zilvia)

noted! I've done lots of research just cant find anything on a F&S clutch on a sr20det. I'm kind of close to brea so I'll take your advise and check them out

i can second the advice on purchasing an ebay special. i have had excellent experience with XTD brand. I've ran them on several of my cars and never had a problem. They too use exedy pressure plates, and sometimes saisen (spelling*) discs. I should say that i plan on buying another in a month or so when i swap my s14..the guy in charge, Jimmy, is a pretty cool dude and is really straight forward and honest, in my experience. I would recommend them anytime.
