1995 240sx Unmodified 130,000 original miles

Pros:
clean 3 owner carfax
Never been in an accident
FLORIDA ONLY VEHICLE for it's entire life.
NO RUST
body in GREAT shape with no dings or dents (see video/picture)
all original wiring with every clip in place
untouched bumpers that were never removed in my opinion
original untouched KA24DE engine
all original foam/padding in the bumpers including the foam around the headlights and core support
headlights line up straight with no gaps and perfect "cut offs"
windows that close fully and do not rustle
Cruises GREAT at all speeds, no steering vibration

After I picked up this car, I found a 1997. I cant keep both or I would. Looking to sell because I cant keep two cars.

Every car has FLAWS:
dashboard is cracked
Engines leaks a drip of oil every day
Carpet needs to be replaced in my opinion (driver side is torn up)
Drivers door panel is sagging in (but not broken or torn)
Factory Radio only has 1 volume setting
Antenna is broken off but the radio still work
Seats could be cleaner ( I am VERY picky about my seats )
Clearcoat is coming off in some areas around the gas cap

Update: Interior and Trunk photos :D
notice all clips and interior trunk wiring is intact and untouched. All the factory glue is oh sooo pretty. I noticed they use a "reddish color" glue on red cars. My white kouki has a "tanish" color glue. Interesting.

Interior needs carpet. As long as I have the car, I might as well try to find a replacement carpet, they are cheap and easy to change. I used floormats for the time being to cover the ugly carpet and keep it from getting worse.

the price of this vehicle will never come down. It will go up, mainly because this clean ass chassis will never be worth less as more and more people wreck/dismantle their 240s over the years.
more to come. Put 2000 miles on it so far as of June 1 2031

Until I got a kouki recently, i had never owned a 240 with an antenna. just one of those 240 things, like door panels. even with low miles the drivers door panel is still sagging in. Obviously if I just swap in a set of mint door panels the car will no longer be all original, so reinforcing and repairing the OEM panels is necessary. If they are even OEM to begin with! A car of this age, and you never know. Ive never owned an LE kouki before and so I dont even know if they are original. not what I would have expected, but they do the job still.

Heh, we are on the same page when it comes to wanting a good chassis. Just a few years ago there were a hell of a lot more examples like this. Pics/info on the Kouki?

Ha, I bought a '95 pearl white model about 3 years ago. Drove her up until last summer when I sold it. Bought it with 136k original miles and it was exactly as the maroon on here. Completely stock and no noise, great gas mileage. GLWS! Clean example. Seems like no one wants nice clean stock ones anymore. It was a hardtop as well which are WAY less noisy and over all better than the sun roof models. I had a '98 sun roof model too and hated it just because the sun roof made so much noise.

thats all that matters is the chassis, original body panels and original suspension components. without accidents, it all lines up the way it should. Then, the sky is the limit. Any clean swap (2jz/ls1/sr20/rb2x) will maintain it's value if it is done right.

I had this which had the S15 sr20det in it. Ive always wanted another S15 sr20det.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b378/draglarry/moss_s15/101_2507.jpg

here is one possibility for this car, 2JZ. This costs around $13,500 to install like this:
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b378/draglarry/2jz_blk240_n20/P1020691.jpg

also, here is what a 240 looks like with an S15 motorswap done right (what I would do to this car):
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b378/draglarry/white_240sx/DVC04919.jpg
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b378/draglarry/white_240sx/DVC04917.jpg

In fact, I offer for the additional price of about $7000 to do the full swap and have it come out looking like the above. One week of labor.

Battery, bypass, plumbing & intercooler, radiator, shroud, rear subframe, 5-lug w/ brakes, 3.4x differential, six speed s15 motorset, wiring
If you supply the S15 motorset then take off 3600. Likewise, you can supply an S14 motorset and take off 3600 also.

Aligned it today, incoming sheet of specs

also, receipt for shocks. lifetime warranty. receipt stays in the car forever with a photocopy.
I already racked up 2000 miles on this. It does not leak as bad as I thought it did. the oil on the dipstick has not moved.

I would really like to drive my other car sometime soon. I have put 2000 miles on it so far and it's a great daily.

Heres a picture from before I bought it. the dealer was kind enough to put it up on a rack so I could check the frame rails. This is the picture that sold this car- once you see frame rails like this, and no accident history, 3 owner carfax, florida car all it's life, its a sold 240 no question.

LOL just like me, bought my S14 as soon as I saw the rails...dang good price for a perfect chassis. I don't care what the drift kids say, any real car guy/gal knows that a perfect chassis goes a long way on for a build and there is no way someone would buy this car as is and not modify it..

Car looks to be the factory Ruby Red Pearl. If you're referring to the mismatch between the engine bay and the body color, I'm pretty sure they used a standard engine bay color for both red vehicles (#AJ4 and #AL0). Although I don't own an S14 so someone else with an #AL0 can confirm this.

when was it repainted?

Years ago. The clear coat is coming off in some places around the gas cap. But it is not fading yet. MY guess is approx 3-5 years ago. Which means the previous owner painted it, and THEN drove it for few years. Which means he intended to drive it with his paint job. Which says something.

I would be worried, in fact I would not have purchased this car, if it was recently repainted. repainting right before putting it up for sale is a sign that something is wrong.
the fact that there is no dings, no dents, for years and years after it was painted also says something. somebody took really good care of this car. Probably the guy who had painted it, wanted to keep it nice.

Why drive when you can fly?

If you notice the floor mats under the spare tire, I put them there to keep the spare off the metal of the trunk. I like to keep the pretty factory metal looking pretty.

This car cruises so nice at all speeds! It sure is nice having a 240 thats never been in an accident before. Solid steering wheel, no vibrations, no pulling. Even my 97 isnt this straight. This is the best chassis Ive ever owned. I would keep it forever if I didn't have a kouki.

Cruisin on the highway!!

I think I put about 2000 miles on it so far. Almost time to change the oil! woohoo!!
And now that the novelty of owning a naturally aspirated KA is worn off, I am getting 27-28MPG!

What I've done so far

1. new lifetime warranty rear shocks
2. new rear center light (changed for a new piece with an emblem, old one was missing emblem had a crack)
3. alignment + balanced all wheels, drives like new
4. replaced the plastic clips that hold the mud flaps on
5. new headlight switch (old one didnt work highbeams, common issue)
6. subframe collars installed
7. synthetic oil (must do this to all KA engines first thing right away)
8. new plugs (iridium $8/each)
9. Detailed the interior/trunk, took out spare and scrubbed and washed the entire trunk area. I like a clean good smelling rear end ya know?
10. greased and cleaned up the door hinges (all 240s need some attention there)
11. greased and cleaned up the window regulators (preventative maintenance)
12. Installed brand new OEM Nissan hood rubbers
13. replaced some ugly bolts and washers and nuts in the engine bay with shiny new ones.

Up next:
1. Change interior carpet
2. new plastic radio trim
3. possibly replacing door panels.
4. Adjustable TC-rods that use an OEM-type rubber bushing

So why don't you post a price for this car. per forum rules it is required for forum rules I shouldn't have to search this entire thread to see price.... still can't find it. I'm interested but damn from how you talk about this car you're going to want more than a 1998 240sx with SR20DET.

Thanks for kind words guys. Time is... running short...

I was driving it today on the highway thinking again about how beautiful it does cruise. So straight and smooth. I let go of the steering wheel and... it kept going straight!
A miracle? Or... Thats just how they are when they've never been wrecked...

5-lug front hubs are here. I did not install because I want to use up the tires on the 4-lug wheels first. But they are officially offered with the vehicle.

Also have some 30mm Iron S15 brakes to go with it.
