I know this is mainly a 240 website but I am seeing if anyone has any knowledge because you guys do put these diffs in your cars. My stock diff started making loud bearing noise so I pulled it out and there was tons of metal in the oil. Pinion looked sand blasted.
Bought a used diff off ebay which looked fine inside. Went about 600-700 miles and started getting the noise. drained oil and a slight metal flake is in there.
Just my luck bearings went twice.
Sooo I want to rebuild one with brand new bearings. I heard but have not confirmed if s13 bearings work in these diffs.
I have one good ring & pinion so and help would definitely be appreciated
Diff is 4.111 VLSD from a R32 GTR and has 6 bolts for axles

It's my understanding that all R200 type differentials have interchangeable internals.
So that would mean you could use bearings from 240sx, Z33 (not z32, that uses R230), Q45 and J30
Can anyone confirm this?

Hah, thanks, those yellows are sweet. Mine has a 16T tuned for 17psi, R manifold and IPD sways/spring. Looking to sell it now actually if you know anyone interested.

WOW I thought R32, JDM S13 180sx, A31 & C33 were Stock with 4.3 gears and 5 bolt axles??
Why do you have a 6 bolt diff?
My A31 is 5 bolt and I'm using a R32 subframe currently
with R32 5 bolt diffs...
You might want to check that... or did they come with both?

GTST were 5 bolt
GTR were 6 bolt. The also have the spot on the diff for the AWD pump to bolt up to

R32's came as 6 bolts too. I just found that out doing a lot of research into diffs and driveshafts since I was looking for some 6 bolt/30 spline shafts for my new diff recently.
EDIT: ^ What he said.
