lol so where are the vsxxs?
also, dont bother starting on a 250.
initially i wanted to as well because i was super cautious/paranoid/thought i was gonna kill myself. years later i was looking for a 600 but found a good deal on a 750, learned on that. and all was well

it was an 05 suzuki gsxr 750.
like i said ive wanted to ride for years, finally had enough money to buy a bike and still was afraid to ride it! luckily the navy puts you through the 'basic rider course' for free. which i highly recommend even for guys who already 'know how to ride.'
starting bike size is definitely a debate amongst people but really a 750 (if you want a 750) is not a bad starter bike. ALL bikes go fast. its all about throttle control and responsible decisions. i dailied that bike for about a year and a half before i got run over by a tractor trailer who took a wide right turn and didnt see me. even though i positioned myself so that he would be able to see me.
luckily i had full gear on, as always because im paranoid.
helmet, steel toe leather boots, gauntlet gloves with carbon fiber knuckles, full leather jacket with shoulder/elbow pads, and knee pads.

lol you are an idiot. A sport bike is never a good starter bike. maybe a honda 350 twin is a good idea, but never a 16000 rpm 4 cyl machine.

and i say get what you want. me personally wouldn't get a 250. you will be fine on a 600 i started with a 1000 lasted for 8 months before i traded it. then got a 600 threw on a bigger sproket etc had fun then went back to 1000.
