I would HIGHLY advise against anyone buying anything from pearlywhite ka-t.
If you already did and it went smooth, awesome, good for you. But I have had the WORST experience with him than I have had with any other member from any other forum that I am on.
I bought a set of his subframe spacers, $30 for the part, $10 for shipping, $1.60 for the paypal. Nothing wrong there.
The part comes in after prompt shipping, one of the collars is broken, and has obviously been broken prior to being shipped, although he claims it wasn't before. I have had a few friends look at the piece and they too agree that it's been ripped in half for some time now.
I have been back and forth with him all day about a refund, but instead of being logical, he continues to flat out refuse refunding me my money.
Because I didn't ask for insurance, he didn't get any on the item. Insurance would have been an extra $2. He told me $10 for shipping....SHIPPING ONLY COST $5.80.
So he decides to pocket the extra cash for shipping, and tells me that it's not his fault the part got broken in shipping (when it was clearly already broken) and that I should have paid for insurance, which at no point during this transaction did he ever ask if I wanted any, nor suggest he was going to get any with the extra funds I provided.
I even called USPS myself and spoke with an agent. If anything happens to a package, it is the shipper's responsibility, whether or not it was insured.
The shipper is supposed to refund the buyer, and if the shipper purchased insurance, the postal service will refund the shipper for the damages. It isn't the other way around.
No matter what the outcome, I paid what he wanted for everything shipped.
BUT A BROKEN SPACER IS NOT WHAT I PAID FOR.
Here's the picture. Since these are no longer usable, I went ahead and sliced one open to show what IT WOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE IF IT WAS BROKEN IN SHIPPING. Remember, this is URETHANE.

You can clearly differentiate which one I cut open and which one has been ripped part for some time now. Had it broken during shipping, it would be bright red because of the newly exposed urethane like the one I cut open. Not dirty, faded and black.
And lets just assume that it wasn't already broken and happened to rip open like that in shipping. Seeing how that is made of urethane, it would require quite a bit of force to do that wouldn't you think? The box would for sure look crushed and destroyed right?

This box was absolutely mint. Any bend you see was from me trying to defeat usps's crazy ass glue used to seal these boxes shut.

If you deal with this guy, be warned. There is no reasoning with him, he is right and you will always be wrong.
A claim has been opened with paypal, and this will hopefully be resolved soon.

I witnessed the damaged parts and saw every text from this guy to my friend AS240 and he is absolutely not willing to cooperate in the least with a full refund for the parts that were obviously NOT DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING. The pictures prove it all.
