Last night I was racing a buddy down a very curvy road. The roads about 5 miles long and has a lot if turns. So I has shifting through my gears a lot. At one point I was going 85 MPH and I was going to slow down for a turn. When I was down shifting I pulled the lever to far over and pushed it into 2nd gear. I kept corrected my self and kept going. After I got home I realized that my gear stick wouldn't move from left to right in neutral. I could only stay in 1st and 2nd gear. Does anyone know what might have happened? I'm expecting to have to swap the transmission. But if there's anything I could do at home I would rather do that.

Don't tempt OP with that S15 transmission, he'll just go from 6th to 3rd trying to get into 5th gear.

Did you even read the initial post? He was trying to get into 4th but pulled the shift knob too far and got into 2nd by mistake.

Time for a new car and start practicing in getting use to the G force via auto-x events before learning to handle G's and shifting at the same time.
Being 19 and you asking this question just tells me not enough seat-time and experience.

yeah man that .6 lateral g that our 240s have with shitty suspension geometry really has an effect on driver ability.
Me being 19 and having mis-shifted in a straight line before tells me that he just needs to relax lol.
