Here's the deal. I happen to have an extra motor laying around and I'm wondering if it will fit into a 240. I don't want to hear about how stupid of an idea it is or why do it or anything else. I just want to know if anyone has put a chevy big block in a 240 before. It would be bolted up to a T56 which I know fits the s-chasis fine.

Depends on the size of shoehorn you brought along, a Jag v12 will fit so it stands to reason that a big block chevy will fit with some work.

It's a 572. I'm wondering about the width.

Nothing some(maybe a lot) of fab work can't solve. Just down to how much money you have and how unique you want to get.

well, you have the motor, and you have the s13 why not measure it and find out?

Jesus a 572, I'm sure with enough innovation it could fit. Since I don't believe its been done before your going to have to engineer everything to make it work, but I'm sure you can use a t56 and lsx swap parts like tranny mount and exhaust stuff. But never the less first things first you need to take measurements.

By the way 572 are big a$$ motors so much torque, that would be sweet.

It's gonna be extremely close to the strut towers. Might not even fit in between. Those motors are wide loads. Take some measurements and go from there. It would def be cool to see a bbc in a light car like this. Basically it would be a foreign shelby lol.
