Very nice nice. Make sure you advertise this on other car forums. You'll find a buyer. If i didnt have an extremely similar condition 97, I would jump on this. Jealous of your ABS :(

Are 240sxs turning into collectors cars or something?

Where in ny are you?

Before you make the "no rust anywhere" claim you may want to remove the battery and have a look. I picked up a mint 97 2 years back and when I relocated the battery I found a big ass rust spot from where a previous battery had been leaking acid. Broke my heart because the rest of the car was spotless. Btw I got mine for 3800 bucks from a wholesaler. Apparantly some dummy traded in a mint 97 to a dealership. Moron probably got 1000 bucks for it.

I'm in Shrub Oak, NY 10588... There is some slight surface rust under the batter, nothing a wire brush cant take care of. And you got your car for an absolute steal

10k seems like a lot, I've seen built koukis selling for that ballpark area. Am I missing something here? Please enlighten me. But either way this car is gorgeous.

I know i will regret selling it if it does happen... The reason for sale is that I don't need it, don't have space for it in the garage, have OCD and don't want to see it roll past 100k haha. Also I figured if I can sell it for 10k, why not? If it doesn't sell no biggie, I can just daily it, its a win win any way you slice it...

It seems like a lot because it is hah... But then again, the price reflects the scarcity of this particular year/model, it's condition, perceived value, convenience and a plethora of other factors... Look around on zilvia classifieds. More than 85% of cars on there look like circus caravan runaways. These cars are getting extremely hard to find in this condition. The prices will only get higher for quality 240sx's.

I tend to stay away from "built" cars altogether, as the ones selling in the 10k ballpark area are usually built by a tree-shade mechanics. I'm sure there are some quality cars out there, but personally I wouldn't bet 10k on one. Plus i despise 99% of the cheesy body kits people tend to put on those cars...

That makes two of us. If it wasn't for mature forums like Nissan Road Racing, I would have sold my 240 strictly to get back into a good car community with mature people. Free bump.

I could see like 5500... 10k for basically a running shell.. Gotta be kidding me. I want to meet the guy who set the prices for these and punch him in the face. On my local CL there is a 93.5 supra for 10k. Mint everything just 250xxx miles. Basically a operational shell. Now I love 240's and you got a real gem here buddy, but 10k for a car that was 17k and literally has 0 residual value is nonsense. And if supras keep dropping in price like this you're damn right ill just sit on my ass and wait for a supra.

Palummi, the nice thing about this car is that its stock, and its clean. For a supra, thats not really a big deal, because its not as easy to obtain a supra for a 17 year old kid who is going to ruin the car with ugly mods and electrical screw ups and little fender benders or whatever. But clean, stock 240sx's are becoming so rare that they really are worth more stock than they are built. If there is any regret i have in this world, its that i bought a pre-swapped 240. I wish i could go back and buy a clean, stock car, and do everything myself. With a car like this, you know that you dont need to worry about any weird problems that some idiot may have caused before you got it. Thats why i would pay 10k for this car. Shit, if i could afford it i would pay 15k for this car. I just hope that if it does sell, its taken car of and not slid into a wall or curb. Also, fuck supras. (Nothing personal)

Why are you so butthurt about an asking price? The OP clearly stated he doesn't need to sell it and if he doesn't hell gladly keep it and drive it.

Every car on the road is a "running shell"

5500 is a price for a kouki with a leaking KA, 200k + miles, and decent paint.

This is a much finer example then that and if you can't appreciate that you probably don't "love 240s" or have the means to own a car of this caliber.

I'm just making a point. I think that ALL 240's are becoming overpriced. The whole point of the at was that a younger guy could get into one and work on it, sell it, and get into a higher level car. That's just how I've always seen 240's. like I said. This car is a TRUE GEM. I just think its overpriced.

And as for owning a high caliber vehicle I'm currently dailying a 2013 frontier SV CC LB, not trying to brag, but its no "beater" lol.

I don't think half of you guys know how rare this car is. An original 5spd LE is rare in itself, the fact that its a Silver Moss makes it even more rare. I'd guess less than five 240sx's in the world have these same options.

Wow, I am extremely surprised to find this car on here. I was very close to purchasing this car from the original owner since it was listed on Cars.com. Seems like you picked up this car with intentions of flipping it around for a profit. I still would love to have this car, but not for that price - especially since I know how much the original owner was selling it for... GLWS - somebody out there will want this car badly enough to pay your asking price.

Except most of the buyers of stock 240's don't care about factory color or even transmission option, since it's a tuner car that is likely going to be repainted/swapped anyway. There is slight addition value because it's silver moss and an original 5 spd., but not as much as the price indicates.
If it was a base model automatic Kouki in an unremarkable color, but in the same condition, I would put it at 6-6.5k. Add 1-2k for it being LE, silver moss, and 5 spd.
Hell, I SUPPOSE it could go for even more than 8k, if somebody REALLY likes silver moss and values the stock options more than the chassis value. I personally don't give a shit about any of that and just want a clean chassis, preferably with no sunroof.

Nobody personally gives a shit what you think about the car. Just because youre a ricer who thinks every 240 is slapped with some retarted body moulding made from shit ABS doesn't mean all 240sx's are subjected to such stupidity.

People like you are the REASON that stock versions of certain cars go for large amounts of money.

I'm selling one, not as good interior, nor as low as miles. But same everything besides previous owner upgrading suspension :|

Def 8K car I'd say. Maybe not quite 10K

Koukis are usually 5k...
bone stock and less than 100k miles: 7k
Rust free: 8-9k (at least here in the midwest)
Then with how clean it is and the options...I can see someone paying 10k if they know exactly what they want and want the best starting point.

People will never accept that a stock car could cost more than a built car but some people like to make sure things are done right rather than buy a nightmare that was "professionally built".

Lol, I'm not a ricer. I prefer clean OEM aero or no aero at all. Good chassis condition matters for ANYBODY who wants a clean modified car, whether that means doing it right or ruining it with body kits and shit. The people for whom chassis condition (wrecks, rust, panel gaps) doesn't matter are people who are just looking to trade for a 240 and drive it as a fun car for a short period of time or people who are practicing drifting. For everybody else, posterity, and thus chassis condition, matters.

240's are a DYING BREED. Stick to your price!
