I was just curious to know how difficult it would be to replace the ignition coil on a ka24e motor would be. I am repairing the stock motor in my 89 shell for the learning expirence, also any advice on how to go about doing this would be helpful! thanks in advance :)

A ignition coil is really easy to replace. You have primary wiring which are just small wires, pos. and neg. that charge the coil creating a magnetic field. Then you got you secondary wire which is your high voltage wire, looks like a sparkplug wire. When the primary is switch off and the primary windings are not charged any more. The magnetic field collapes creating your high voltage which then travels out the secondary wire. It then goes to your distributor which directs it to the correct spark plug. In the end it just comes down to unpluging the wires and unbolting you coil, then bolting the new one up and hooking the wires back up.
