Like the title says my Sr20 swap dies when I come to a dead stop. It runs alright and when it starts idles fine, But when I drive it down the road and hit any lights or signs the darn thing just dies. I have to keep reving it to keep it alive. Any suggestions?

Adjust the super tiny screw that is on the throttle body's left side to slightly open the butterfly
ill see if i can find a pic. But this is the easiest way to get a higher idle

Most people have that problem when running a bov , I had the same , recirculate your bov and should fix your problem.

lmao. :werd:
seriously though, if youre venting to atmosphere, it usually just dies when you come to a quick stop, it shouldnt need to be revved if you cruise to a stop with the clutch in.
if you do adjust that screw - make sure you reset your tps. i did mine last year and i vent to atmosphere and it hardly ever dies at stops any more. rock solid 800 rpm idle too.

couldnt you put your MAF before the TB and fix the issue all together?

Yes you can run blow through maf, I did it. However nissan mafs are terrible and two exploded on me due to boost pressure.

Ok if the bov is opening at idle and decel thats kinda a problem, if its adjustable tighten the spring a little it shouldnt be popping open unless your getting into boost.
Next the IACV is designed to catch the Rpm's on decel to keep it from stalling, It sounds like yours may be malfunctioning. Try cleaning it first, Remove it to clean and make sure you check the gasket before you replace it. Then search online how to set idle in SR20 because it is set thru the iacv

i agree with this about the Idle air control valve. But not all BOV's idle in the closed position. Off brand junk is notorious for this. Its a big thought when deciding what BOV to put in your car. HKS has a second diaphragm so you cant build enough vacuum to pull it open at idle. Thats also why HKS needs to run those little air filters.
