I've done that for a long time..lol
rear ended someone, bent the core support a bit...
used 2 zip ties at least, didn't drive over 80mph
if you use steel zip ties, it should hold for temporary.

Jeez tits...why dont you use something that has more tensile strength like oh, I dont know, a fucking rope?!?! Better yet, go by a ratchetting tie down. Last thing you need is that fucking hood to fly up while doing 60 on the freeway and cause a fucking wreck. Is common sense not so fucking common anymore?

I agree with this, yeah its cool that it has worked for other people but why trust that. Use your head and use get the tie down strap and make sure its properly secured.

if you can't find a rope you can always try using shoe string. just make sure to double knot it so it doesn't loosen itself while you are driving.
hope this helps

But guys we all know that zipties make it a super Dorifto matic 240SlideXtreme
But yea use a rope or the ratchet tie down. Much more safer. My buddy had his hood fly up and bent back and smashed the windshield and on the highway.
Plus you dont wanna be losing money off the purchase price cause the hood was being a dick that day

Why do you worry ? Let natural selection occur.
The zip ties wont hold, the hood will smash into the windshield, and wether he dies or not, he will surely sell the car because he cant afford a hood AND a windshield (heck he cant even afford a rope or being towed). More parts for us, one less idiot on the road, it is a win-win situation.

Oh I dont give a crap about the idiots...its when the idiot slams into other people and causes a multi car pile up that I have a problem with.
