Here is picture of the paint on my car, it's easier to see the imperfections with the original (larger) picture. Now I'm not the best at restoring paint, or doing anything with paint for that matter. But the car looks like it has dirt and water spots actually stuck between the paint and the clear coat and no matter how hard I wash the car, the imperfections won't come out. The picture you see is of the car right after I washed it.

I also have like white paint that seemed to have splashed over the sideskirt of the car. What should I use to scrape it off? Here some pics...

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

try using a clay bar for both spots, i doubt it will get the overspray on the sides though...

also, try wetsanding and polishing up the rear trunk area (using a rotary buffer), it will make a world of difference.

Have you tried claying and waxing your car?

It is oxidation. It can be removed with a clay bar as suggested, but an even easier way is an orbital buffer with some 3M or Meguiar's stage 1 fine cut rubbing compound. Just keep a close eye on the surface so that you do not go too far.

If the paint on the side of the car is road paint a rag wetted with lacquer thinner will remove it jst rub it on and polish the car with a good wax after paint is removed , as far as the rest of the car if you have never wetsanded a car and buffed one then get somebody that has to help you so you dont sand thru the clear coat or bburn the paint with a buffer

for the oxidation you could try Meguiars Body Scrub, or Meguiars Paint Cleaner. The paint cleaner worked really well for me, just gotta use a little elbow grease.

wetsanding then buffing is a good way to restore paint to better than stock condition. nothin like that glass look....

Stacey off of Trucks TV did a demo of how to wet sand and polish up paint. I cant quite remember what grits he was using but the end product turned out very nice...

If you're not sure what to do, you can learn a lot from the following site:

www.autopia-carcare.com

He's got a lot of good information and there is a detailer forum on there where you can post questions. It's a great source of information.

Best wishes,
Matt
