sorry if wrong thread!

Anyone ever used moneygram to buy parts instead of paypal???

i have a guy that im ready to purchase a part from and he says his paypal is dormant, which i have heard of, so he mentioned moneygram. So i looked into it and it says (MoneyGram never recommends sending money to a stranger. Any monies received by a stranger cannot be recovered and unfortunately you will not get your money refunded back to you.

“MoneyGram is very safe and secure when sending to someone you know and trust.”)

I'm currently finding out what his solution is going to be, but if his account is dormant doesn't that mean he can never use it again like they cut him off for...maybe scamming someone?

Sounds similar to Nigerian scam.

I would say avoid.

only use moneygram to send money to TRUSTED people.

not strangers who you want to buy parts from. you'll get scammed and there is no way to get your money back.

Is this coming from the user on here tm.uk?

I got the exact same thing from the user I mentioned that his paypal was dormant and id need to send moneygram because paypal said his account will remain dormant for 40 more days.

I asked him if he had a friend/family member I could send money to, and he never responded back.. Sounded kind of sketchy to me, so I stayed far away from dealing with him.

Be careful.

The only time I had heard of moneygram was when I got some virus on my computer saying the FBI seized my computer and to send moneygram for them to unlock it lol.

I've had paypal for over 10 years and there were times i didn't use it for more than a year. I have never had it dormant at all. it is definately an excuse not to use it. He should figure out how to fix his paypal account before legitamitely selling stuff.
