wow...good pics. I've been to Kamakura a few times. Amazingly beautiful!! at the least. Many other shrines as well. Its been 3yrs since I went back. Ive been back to Japan probably a total of 11 times or so. All my relatives live out there...so its cool. Free rooms!! haha. But yea...UP GARAGE...i always see it in J-mags. I probably wont go back for another 2yrs or so. Its cool to have relatives back there....but not ALLL of them cause you dont have none here stateside. Oh well..who needs them.

And anyone thats going to bring up..."why dont you have your cousins export stuff here"....they are too damn busy with their lives to worry about car parts and their Ame-li-can cousin. Boooo. hah.

westboroughpimp, well w/o hotel or room fees....shit can still RACK UP! hah. If you want to live it for two weeks, you can easily and I mean easily spend over $800. Thats for food, and drinking. The BEER is so goooood. mmmmmm. But beer is very expensive in Japan. But its so damn good. Nama-Beeru is what you. FESHNESS. Also, "entertainment" gets pricey too. heh.

ZenkiDori, if you're a gaijin, you'll get treated like shit. HAHA jp. Well honestly, mostly everyone is cool. Especially in the city, I mean Japan now is no longer what it used to be even that last 30 years ago. Soooo many more gaijins there. Everyone is getting used to it. Some are taking it harder though. Sometimes, you might get some old lady on the train staring at you, but thats how they are. I mean I even get looked at and im J'. But I am a lil darker Socal skinned than your typical Japanese dude. MEh.

Its a plane. The photo was with a slow shutter.

was this just a short trip to japan or do you have family over there

I just went over there for a month with a friend. Stayed at his aunt's for a week and a half and then on my own for three weeks. Going back in the summer.

how do you get treated?(i'm assuming you're a gaijin).

Just fine. Didn't get discriminated against (or none that I noticed at least :D). The people are great... You meet some interesting people on trains who want to practice their English. One dude was a singer for a Limp Bizkit cover band... He wanted to practice English on the train on his way to perform in Yokohama. He worked at a restaurant and I ended up scoring a free meal for talking to him :D.

yeah, that pic is from the night all the schools went on winter break, so people from other prefectures came up to race and didn't know the road. Lots of wipeouts that night.

I saw plenty of racing... wangan, street drift, touge, you name it... Rode in an R32 on the C1 at insane speeds, but didn't get to drive it :( (I had my IDL, too)...I have like 1600 pics and lots of videos of all this. I posted some of the wangan stuff before, just search.

My Tokyo Auto Salon pics are in the gallery on http://www.dori-spot.com

I'm thinking of heading over to JDM land this summer, for a week or two. Alternately, maybe go to AX Tokyo next winter, and spend some time in Japan after.

What I am pretty sure of is that I'll be heading there for quite a while summer '05. I just wonder what kind of car I'll be able to afford teaching english over there. Of course, I'll have to sell my 240 bfore it go...what'll 5500 USD or so get you over there? =D

zenkiDori

i know a guy in okinawa(USAF) and he says lots of cars are dirt cheap. S13s and R32s are very cheap he says. R32 GTS can go for like $1000 USD. are you doing the JET program? that is what my girl will be doing after college. i've seen cars on yahoo japan for really cheap too, like Zenki FDs for like $2000-$4000USD. only problem with older cars are taxes from what i hear.
