will 5spd dohc tranny fit with my 89 sohc engine?

hi guys newb question, i ve read sohc trannys fitting into dohcs but they seemed to be manuals already. so im guessing it would work swapping a 5spd dohc tranny into my 89 coupe. any advice would greatly help. my auto pos tranny is dying.lol

If the sohc tranny fits the dohc, then why wouldn't the dohc tranny fit the sohc? It will work.
