Ok i know when u look at this title u are gona think wow the 300 is gona kill the CRX, not this time. THe zx is fairly stock, only has NOS to spool turbos, the crx is a 88 HF with a SR20DET FWD engine in it, from what i understand the kid has it bored over, upgraded turbo to a GT35RR or something like that, and FMIC. Any way the kid with the zx thought he was all big and bad, and the crx smoked his ass by like 5 car lengths, the kid wont let anyone look at his engine bay, but i talked to his mechanic, he knows what the low down is. I was just wondering if anyone knows how difficult it is to put a SR FWD into a CRX, maybe i wont have to get rid of my rex. Nissan power with honda looks, and crx handles really well.

well that is what the kids mechanic said, that it was a FWD SR20DET with upgrades. I didnt think it was possible, but i went on hondahookup and there was some talk of people making nissan/honda hybrid. I am just stateing what i heard from the guys mechanic, but i do know that that crx was dam fast.

well if its massively modded sr 20 how hard could it be to beat a pretty much stock ztt. The crx is light as shit like under 2 g's. And as russian said, its fucking ugly, IMO the old ass civic hatches from the 80's and the crx's must be 2 of the uglyiest cars on the road.

i'd take a "slow" Z TT over the baddest CRX ever even thought of.

out of all the hondas made, i think the CRX (2nd gen) is one of the nicest small FWD cars around.. I like it.
as for putting an SR20 in it, I think its stupid. Put a Honda motor in it and be done with. The SR20 is nothing special or out of the ordinary, as there are plenty of honda motors that can compete.

Hey, maybe this means that the fast and the furious wasn't so dumb or unrealistic afterall...
... Wait, yes it was. Without pics, I refuse to believe the hype and even with pics, I refuse t concede to the practicality of the major amount of custom shit required when you couls have a comparitively equal performing honda engine and an established technical support network...

crx's may be ugly, but they are pretty badass little FWDs. second gens look best, too.
2nd gen crx + boosted b16 or all motor b18 = badass quick fucking little car.

i'd like a Sunny GTi-R engine in a small, light weight car...it would be very fun..

SR20DE(T) in Honda=:ghey:
A B18C5 or B18C1 has plenty of kick-assness to it to do the job,and do it right, and keep it Honda. Why waste a perfectly good Nissan motor on a Honda body?

Agree
Hondas are a parasite. I would be upset if i sold my engine and it found its way into a honda.

If i had to buy a stock crx or a stock z32, i'd get the crx. Mostly cause the z32 is the worst car nissan ever built. I'd really rather drive a KIA

haha..i dunno bout kia..but I would buy a crx too...they are great on gas mileage..lol..but also they are pretty good decent cars. Put a b16 in that and ur good to go. 300zx are a BIATCH to work on..if n e 1 u get a chance to work on the engine..u'll know wut i mean..not jus an intake..try like internal shiet and changing gaskets on that mofo. :faint:

either way CRXs are lame a Z cars are sweet. you can make any car fast with the right amount of money.

hehe try changing the spark plugs. Z cars are pretty much all sweet except the Z32. Definition of lame ass POS. why? i dont know. Usually i have some rational explanation for my thoughts, but my passionate hate for the Z32 goes beyond any explanation i can give.

haha..i haven't changed plugs on a z32..but changing the sparkplugs on my mom's es300 (v6 fwd) sucked since the intake manifold is right on top. To change the plugs on my mom's car involved taking off a fuel line..the intake manifold..all this other shiet cuz the intake manifold blocked 3 of the cylinders...so i'm guessing it's the same for the z32 :bs:

Kia Sephia = 1.6 B6 by Mazda, also used in the 90-93 Miata. Damn reliable and can take a massive beating. Auto blocks are lower in compression then the manuals.
In a few weeks I'll be hitting at least 150 rwhp at 7 psi of boost. Calculate that in a 2,100 lbs car = Flying Coffin.
Now turbo the Sephia... Imagine what kind of a sleeper that would make...?
I'd stab myself with a ice pick.

did anyone click on that link? It has a pic..but I couldve sworn that SR20's are disty-less..whats the deal with the plug wires? Looks more like a ca16 out of an old Pulsar...or something.
Agreed: TTZ > All hondas.
