VIN Number?

Does anyone know if the VIN number will disclose the trim level on an S14? I did a search and read a good amount of useful information on how to differentiate an LE from an SE by visual inspection and optional equipment. I also read the thread that gave a VIN breakdown but I still could not locate the information I needed (If it even exists). Thanks for any help you can provide me!

i'm not really sure? have you tried 240sx.org? i know they have some very useful info on there...

it will disclose the trim level of the car but i don't i don't know about other options (moldings, etc etc)

Okay. I just realized I misread some information. So the VIN for the S14 will tell you that it is an SE/LE or it will tell you it is a Coupe. But it will not differentiate between SE/LE. The reason being the only things separating the SE from the LE are: (Standard equipment on LE: POWER SLIDING GLASS SUNROOF WITH TILT FEATURE AND SLIDING SUNSHADE (Optional for the SE), leather seats, leather steering wheel, leather manual shift knob, passenger vanity mirror, glove compartment lock, MAP LIGHT (Optional for the SE with sunroof option), remote keyless entry and security system.) So the only way to tell if the S14 is an SE or an LE is by reading information on the options or by visual inspection?
