I was thinking those blue on black would be pretty sick! Any comments? I also like the volk racing te-37s and gt-n. Comments? BETTER IDEAS?

hmm i saw them browsing this site www.wholehypr.com yesterday at prices which were a good bit below blitz's MSRP. I'm not sure what they go for elsewhere on the web, but it's worth taking a look.

If anyone still wants good prices for sweet wheels email me. I'm usually cheaper than a lot of people out there. You name it I can get it.
but the blue in the picture isn't the same as on the retail pages.
anyone know when you buy them they come in that color or do you have to get them painted?
if you have to get them painted can you do that to any rim?
if not what other rims come in that color blue with the SILVER LIP surrounding it like in the pic?

What kind of car is that? It almost looks like a heavily re-worked Miata. The space around the entire engine makes it look like it'd be wonderful to work on.

it's an FD3S RX-7, 93-95 here in the US, 92.5-2002 over in japan. that car has the engine out of a 93.5-98 supra TT in there.

yes it appears to have twin HKS t51's (if i remember correctly, i dont feel like getting out my issue of this month's turbo). supposed to be pushing over 1000HP by the time they're finished with it. and in case you didnt know, base weight of the FD3S rx7 is around 2700lb...

I believe those are the Blitz Techno Speed Z1's and they don't come in that color. They come in silver, gold and Blitz silver. You can get most racing wheels powder coated but you MUST go through someone who has been known to do an excellent job. The last thing you want is to buy a set of ass expenzive rims and someone fuck them up.
thanks
how much does powdercoating usually cost and do body shops usually do it? If not who does?
when looking for a rim to get powdercoated, should you buy them white, chrome, silver, what??
Black with blue would look better then the blue and yellow. But If you want opinions then I will say stick with silver. But thats just me. You looking at some pretty good wheels though, but for the price I would get something more exotic and less common. Go to the links section and go to Takakira.com and see what wheels you can get from japan, then find a importer to get them here. That is how I got my work miester s2r wheels.

Hey Nise... it will cost around $65 and no it doesn't matter what the undercolor is.
240enthu: for a good job? per wheel? who does it?
west: never thought of it like that, but ....yeah...true

Nise: That's per wheel and it really depends on who does it in your area. You'd be surprised. Just to go to your locally trusted wheel shop and ask them. But make sure you see some of their work first.

why would someone put a 2JG motor in an RX-7? its sacrilege. the 13B is hella good motor, peter Farell makes single turbo upgrades good for 650 hp. i would keep the supra motor outta there, cause one of the greatest things about the RX is its relative lightness, compared to the supra (3400-3600 lbs), its a featherweight.

The Supra engine can handle more HP then the 13B, plus the fact that it's a lighter car, if the highest street supra can break high 9's low 10's imagine what that engine would do in car that wieghs 600+ lbs less. Plus the shop wants people's attention.

you can eek plenty of HP out of a 13b, but yeah, not as much as a 2jz...the 20b is a whole other story though. 20b would've been a more reasonable choice, i'd say, for an FD, but SP just wanted to show their expertise and do something wild as ####

in turbo magazine it says the reason they put the supra engine in an rx7 body was becuase SP Enginierring couldind decide weather to make a supra demo car or an rx7 demo car because the shop is well know for turning out very spectacular examples of each.

I don't know why, but I love the TE37s. They are still super popular in Japan. You can special order them in gunmetal grey. How heavy are the Blitz's anyway? That should play a role in your decision.
