any one wire a gen1 rev/speed meter? i dont have a usdm manual with it, so need help

so i got a rev speed meter and its the jdm version and the wireing says 6 wires, but i dont know if the wire are the same color going form jdm sr20det to usdm ka24de, i dont think the wire colors would be the same?

if any one has wired one and could help me itd be huge

Apexi website have the manual you need.
As for the ecu wiring for KA24DE:
RSM RPM (Yellow)= Yellow red
RSM Input Speed (Purple)= Yellow Green (you will find two yellow green wire, tap the one that is connected to the ecu not the one that go straight to the Speedometer.)
RSM Power (Orange)= Red
RSM Ignition Power (Red)=Black white
RSM Ground (Black)= Black
*For speed limiter cut, cut the Yellow Green wire that is connected to the ECU and tap the RSM Output Speed (Peach more like Pink) to the ECU side and the RSM Input Speed (Purple) to the harness side.*

well i got it wired in and when it is pluged in i get a miss fire check engine, and normal check engine, as soon as i unplug it they go away. it also like flickers and is hard to get it to do anything else. half ass lights up. i m thinking the ground is bad? sound about right? it says in rev mode and flickers back and forth froma 2 to a 4. thats about all i can get it to do>?
