So I am at a loss.. :facepalm:I took my car out today like any normal day.. and I know she's got quite a lot of miles on her 231,000 to be exact but she runs like a champ. and im currently saving to do a swap, any who.. I came out from the store got in her and she wouldnt start, turned over but nothing else.. I know its not electrical because the alternator and battery is new. So after beating on the fuel pump a little she started with some ticking.. Now here's the kicker. the whole ride home, about 35 mins no ticking, no stalling but as soon as I get home, 10 mins go by, I go to go back out to the gas station. As im walking up to it its pretty much pouring out antifreeze. I open up the hood and there isnt a leak that i can see in the hoses but the overflow is full and its just dripping out. Now i turned the key and looked at the thermostat and it said running cool, which doesnt make sense. also she wont start now.. I dont know wtf is going on... lol please help if anyone knows what going on.
I am a painter/body worker I am just starting to learn the mechanical side.. its been my dream car since i can remember and I havent had any real problems with it so hopefully this is just a waterpump or new hoses.
Please help, Im tired of everyone telling me that 240's are money pits and im a stupid girl for buying one. I think Im awesome and so is my car haha, well not right now.:wtc: but usually!

Dont jump to BHG too quick. Do a compression test, and possibly a leak down, or one of those chemical tests for your radiator. Also, check your oil. If it looks like chocolate milk, you're toast.

I had I similar situation where my coolant res would not stop over flowing. All signs intially pointed to BHG but all the tests came back negative. After that, I pulled apart my cooling system and found 2 pinhole leaks on the radiator which were letting air into the system causing boilover. Replaced that and the hoses for good measure and haven't had an issue since. Good luck.

Too bad you're not a little closer. I could look at it for you.

When your car doesn't start go under the hood and Disconnect the coolant temp sensor, it's the 2 pin connector, and if starts after that the it's your coolant temp sensor wigging out causing the motor to flood and not start because its sending a false signal to the ecu making it think the car is in the warm up process, about the leak, can you actually see coolant splattered? Could be something very easy to fix
