So, my clutch does something really weird. After the car warms up, the clutch pedal will get hard and the play in the pedal disappears, this causes the clutch to start to slip. I bleed the clutch lines but that didn't fix the problem, I checked the lines, all okay. the clutch/plate/flywheel/bearing are all okay and only have 17k on them. I found out I have an exhaust leak before the first cat, looked like it was leaking onto the tranny housing, could this cause the clutch to dissengage? What other things could be causing this problem?

You might want to check the clutch master cylinder pushrod and see if it's adjusted properly. The clutch master cylinder pushrod attaches to the clutch pedal inside the cabin of the car. You adjust the pushrod assembly by first loosening the retaining bolt located behind the U-shaped metal clip that attaches from the rod to the clutch pedal. You also have to pull the cotter pin to remove the U shaped metal clip from the pedal arm. Turn the pushrod clockwise for several turns, reconnect it, then test it to see if play in the pedal returns.
Anyhow, hope this helps..
Good luck!!
