I get this really loud clanking sound sometimes from my rear end. J30 LSD is installed. LSD's aren't loud are they? It sounds like that's where it's coming from but it might be the subframe bushings, correct?

Any idea on what it could be?

everyone on here says LSD's make loud clunking popping snapping noises all the time.

Are u sure its a j30? J30 is a vlsd not supposed to be loud... Buuuuut if if its a 1.5 or 2 way (kazz. Any clutch type) it's gonna pop when u turn.

Does the noise happen when shifting gears? Usually a subframe bushing problem. 240's are infamous for this.

If you are not sure if its subframe bushings...thats what it is...

OK, so should I go with Powered By Max subframe Risers or Polyurethane bushings?

Daily car? I would go with closest to OEM.

only a clutch type lsd should be loud (clunking and popping)
a vlsd or a helical should NOT make loud noises.

Mostly track, sometimes daily. Will be lowered a bunch, which is why I was kind of leaning toward the PBM risers.
