So a couple of days ago I took my car for a drive in the morning and I noticed it started heating up rather quick, so I turned around and went home and checked it out. I noticed my rad fluid was completely gone so I poured water in to see if it would leak and I found it. I believe its a turbo coolant line, it goes from a hard line to a just a rubber hose right by the firewall. So here are my questions. First of all does anyone know where the hell this connects to? I cant tell if its just been disconnected from somewhere or if its been ripped/cut in half due to heat maybe and just that half is dangling there. Its such a tight spot back there I know this is gonna be a bitch to due. Anyways here are a couple of pictures I managed to grab from both sides. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The big one in pics 1 and 2 are for your heater core. It probably loops back to the passenger side into the core if you're LHD. Pic 3, that small line runs to your turbo.
If it's leaking from the turbo line, either replace it or switch to S14 water neck with S14 SR turbo lines.

That's your turbo coolant return line. A lot of us delete that shit for that very reason. Get an S14 water neck and braided coolant return hose and you will never have to deal w/it again. You can plumb the coolant return right into the water neck.
OR you can get a couple -4AN & -4AN to 1/8NPT fittings and a DIF or Stance water neck adapter with a T25/T28 coolant return line and fix it that way... I did it the latter way; but I also have an S14 neck sitting standby.

Again, do it either way; and you will have NOTHING to mess with between your engine & firewall ever again:

However, if you just need to replace the line, it's a PITA, but doable... regular 5/16" fuel line is a perfect fit. You may want to find the other half of the hose... Or if the PO maybe just had it plugged- which is no bueno for your turbine.

Thanks a lot for the input guys. But I just want to replace the hose and get it running again since im selling it this weekend! So is the other half of the hose still rubber like that or does it go back into a hard line? And most importantly WHERE is the other end suppose to be attached to ?!

Look for a nipple directly above it on that big hardline.

Alright ill go take a look pretty soon. So do you think I will have to go out and buy a longer hose? Or will this one plug that nipple fine?

The solid part of the turbo feed is solid all the way from the main solid heater core line to just to the rear/left of the cylinder head. That's where the rubber starts and the lines have bead rolled ends. You just need a new piece of rubber tube to replace the cracked section.

I'm at my car right now and I don't see any nipples :/ I'm hoping I'm just looking at the wrong place. I checked all the hoses above it and I can't see/feel anything

Also Mikester I noticed in the last picture you have that flat small cable that wraps around the corner at the top. I noticed that mine is unplugged?? I dont know if it was always like that but I just noticed that. What is that?

You're not going to see the nipple if you only have a crack in the line. I guess unless the hose came all the way off which it probably didn't.
Find the tube that is smaller than your heater core tubes, that connects to a rubber line that connects to another tube that goes to your turbo.
Replace that rubber line.

Its leaking straight out of that black rubber hose that starts out as a hardline from the turbo. Ive found that out. I But where is that rubber hose suppose to be connected to? Its just hanging there as you can see in the pictures.

Oh shit hahaha.
That giant tube that curves behind the cylinder head, halfway behind the head the tube T's off to a smaller tube that connects to that rubber tube.
Run your hand along the big tube until you find the T.
EDIT: You can see the T in this picture.

That's a ground wire that should be connected at the firewall... Mine is not connected in that pic, just moved out of the way (motor just dropopoed in when that pic was taken). You should connect it.
OK Im pretty sure I found it ! But It doesnt seem like the black rubber hose reaches all the way? Soo does that mean it was ripped off some how ? Possibly... 20 yr old rubber hoses tend to get a bit brittle ;)
Replace it with some 5/16" fuel line from Vatozone and you will be on your way... Glad youi found the tee...
ryandevilhorns, great pic of the backside piping.
