its a twenty year old car so obviously itll probly break down on you at one point or another unless you have some decent wrenching experience and you know how to interpret your cars feedback.... take your time when looking for a chassis.. i test drove like 7 before i found one i was satisfied with, dont always believe what the car ad says, people tend to bend the truth and stretch the positives, i wish you the best of luck finding a good car

I am 95% guaranteeing that you will end up with a pile of shit. It's just the nature of the beast. What you will be looking for is a pile of cash to restore/rebuild. If your name is true, you better look for two piles of cash.

It really comes down to what your looking for. if your looking for a project you shouldn't really have a problem theirs a crap lot of 240's out their that would be a good for a start. If your looking for something that's in good, unmolested condition is gonna be hard. most ppl out their want a lot of money for POS car. in my experience of finding a s13 for my wife it took me about a year to find the perfect car. i couldn't believe the condition of the car. Original owner always had it in the garage. now after a year of owning she want to sale it and get a 87 Porsche :bash:

Yea Im trying not to rush, I am mainly looking for one with original paint and no frame damage. Im looking to keeping it for a long time so pretty much slowly restore one, but still want a clean one I can use daily. The more stock the better.

It took me about a year and a half to find a completely clean stock chassis. Although I did find it as an automatic, it is a pain in the ass and a lot of patience is required to find an S chassis that isn't either, fucked with or breaking down.
I was lucky to grab mine off of an elderly lady, who had it stored for quite some time in her son-in-law's garage. Bone stock 100% original 93 Base model coupe.
Just be patient and do a lot of hunting, they're still out there. Just don't rush and buy the first one you find.

Wow you must've caught a really clean one, you have any heads up on where to look other than zilvia and craigslist. All my links are practically purple because i checked all of em. Im even looking out to as far as san diego.

Yup if u rush and buy a 240 odds are its going to have alot of problems....
It took me 6 months to find my 93' limited edition 120,000 mile vert bone stock for 2 grand, Mint top everything electrical works inside cruise control AC etc... Before i found this i ran into numerous verts that were asking 4k for their bone stock verts that were the same as the one i ended up buying some even were worse then the vert i bought.
But i just kept looking and now im the proud new owner of this baby :)

Thats good to hear man, I hope I get lucky as you. That is a very clean vert you have there. I didnt want one repainted either, it looks alot more natural with the oem paint.

Like all the others said, take your time and don't rush your search. There are still a lot of clean S chassis out there. Usually you can score a super clean mostly stock, well maintained s13 for 2000-3500 if you're willing to play the waiting game.
