If you title transfer it there should be no Registration penalty.

that's how it works in Colorado. you could have a 100$ registration penalty, but if you sell the car, the new owner gets 60 days to register it before it starts the penalty @ 25$ / month

if it doesn't work that way how you are from.. that sucks!

Definitely priced it to sell and it has gone to a good new owner. It was too clean to just be sitting in the back yard. Someone needed to enjoy it.
