well think about it like this. theres 1000hp skylines roaming the streets. whens the last time you saw a Q45's v8 do that? sure it can be done but I'd much rather keep a Straight six like nissan put in there to begin with. dont need big power in that thing it weighs nothing. and just to keep the naming right get a 260z (74 model) and drop the RB26 in it. one 2.6 I6 for another.

why would Q45 trannies be AWD? they only came RWD....

i wasn't too sure if q45 were awd or rwd. aren't infinit q45s considered luxery sedans? odd that its rwd unless its a sporty sedan like lexus is300. we probably dont see a lot of q45 v8 tuning due to that fact that the engine is in a car that most car enthusiast would deem not sporty enough, too heavy, and a waste of money.

if you want to keep the naming right, thats cool but who really cares. getting more than 1000hp from a lightweight car is just for insanous and bragging rights i guess and although it might be good enough for you, hp is one of those things that you probably can never get enough of.

also, better traction from an awd setup than rwd or fwd? can awd cars peel or burn out? my theory is that they can't, unless you somehow get equal power distributed to all four wheels and lots of that power. maybe through mitsibishi's awd center differential whatever it is?
