Okay so to start off I have a 93 s13 and I wanna throw an LSD/vlsd on but money's a big issue. I was at my local pick a part earlier looking at differentials but couldn't find an LSD/vlsd and was wondering what nissian I could pull a LSD off and simply bolt it on to my s13 with little to no problems....I've been told that a 300zx LSD would fit...I was also wondering about a 280sx cause the minting bolts looked somewhat similar. ... Give me some good feedback...if your just gonna talk shit gtfoh

Look up a R200 diff and figure out which unit is a direct fit for the s13 or what is required to fit others. Or you know...search this forum.

This question could have EASILY been answered with a 5 minute search, OR in the small questions thread. There's no reason to start a new thread...
Since I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy I'll answer it anyways. The N/A 300zx vlsd's bolt-in. They come with the same ring/pinion ratio as the S13 and you can pull the rear diff cover off it and sell it to S14 guys for like $50, since it's large capacity and has the S14 mounting. I believe it used 5-bolt axles though, it's been a while since I've had one though so I could be wrong on that. Also the Infiniti J30 rear ends bolt in. They are the ABS diffs though so you would have to knock the metal dust shield ring off the back of the trans if your driveshaft is non-abs. Also the J30's have the 3.9 ring and pinion, which would help with gas mileage a little tiny bit on the freeway, but at the sacrifice of a small amount of acceleration. Some of the J30's use 5-bolt axles, some use 6-bolt, depending on the year of the car.
