Yo whats up zilvians i just got myself a set of the Tein Basic Coilovers for my s13 vert, and i noticed it didnt come with the camber plates or the pillowball camber plates... My question is should i buy them for the front or just use the stock ones? Im using my vert as a daily and would want the best ride out of the car so im willing to purchase either or but this is my first time ever buying a set of coils so im wondering which direction to go. All positive feedback is appreciate n thanks for reading :snoop:

Sell them and buy some decent coilovers that already have camber plates. Fortune Auto 500's would be a good starting point.

I never said anything about megan or godspeed. Tien basics are garbage. Atleast from my experience with them. Tien is just overpriced. Sell them and buy some Fortune 500's. Gaurentee you will be much happier in the end.

I like my FA500s, but I wish I'd waited for Series 4...
If you want the best ride for daily, use new stock upper mounts. Rubber gives more than heims. Now, heims allow for camber adjustment... Hell, if it was me, having driven on Tein SS and FA500s with street valving, I'd do a spring/shock combo for daily. Comfortable and no scraping every time I go over speed dips/humps at college... or the hospital...
But then again that's just me... If you must have Coils and be low, or you track it... FAs are nice. Custom Valving and spring rates included in price.

I had to buy these for my Tein SS as well..
Tein PAN20-31PFR Front Pillow Ball Upper Mount w/ Camber Plate S13 S14 (http://www.frsport.com/index.php?target=products&mode=details&product_id=1022)
I'm not saying they are great coilovers but I have been running my Tein's for over 3 years with no issues and no complaints.. I would say keep them if you got them for a steal as you said.. and buy the pillowball upper mounts of you need the camber adjustment.

If you got Tein's for a dirt cheap price, keep them. They aren't "garbage." I just would not purchase them brand new at retail price. For their worth, you could have purchased something better like what everybody above me has said.
If you aren't messing with the initial preload for height adjustment, the ride is nice. And on that note, you don't absolutely need Tein's top hats if you are not trying to correct your alignment due to being too low.

On my daily I have tein basic up front and Megan street on the back (they were free) and the front rides like asshole lol the back feels much nicer. But I have Fortune 500 series on my track car and I love them so much, definitely recommend Fortune
Tein coilover sells the camber plate as an option. BC Racing comes with camber plate standard. BC has grown popular due to it's camber plate and dampening adjustments.
