hey guys, replaced my head gasket recently, and ever since it wont start.

timing is 100% right, looked at TDC pics for cam position, 6 teeth spaced between notches on cam pulleys, and distributor is on #1 cylinder at TDC.

STILL WONT FUCKING START AHH!!!!

lol. Today I checked my spark, I pulled out spark plug #1 and grounded the plug, there was spark. It was blue-ish and bright enough to see during direct sunlight.

Its getting plenty gas.... its flooding if I don't unplug the fuel pump fuse.

please help... thanks :/

check if the cel is on? If it is then pull the codes. All hoses going to the fuel filter and fuel rail good? I've had them backwards before. What are the compression numbers?

Did not check compression yet.

I can pull ecu codes from an engine that hasn't fired up yet since headgasket change? Nice. Ill check that out tomorrow.

is your distributor timed right? did you use a timing light?

I did not use a timing light, I'm gonna pull that out tomorrow.

But from the back side of the distributor cap, the rotor lines up perfectly with cyl. 1.

How far off was your distributor? This car ran a little bit. won't fucking start now, but it ran a little... 200 rpm missing like crazy

your timing must be off, make sure u are lining up the distritutor to cylinder 1

the center of the rotor should be aligned with the contact point on the distributor cap for cylinder no. 1 right?

no just before it I believe

really? at TDC, 0 degrees? if it is just before it, then I need to adjust my distributor.

should I be moving my distributor up and down by the gear teeth? or is it okay if the distributor doesnt line up with the dead center of the notch on the top

just looked, it talks about dissassembly of the lower front timing cover.

I was having issues with my car not starting. I had my fuel lines reversed. they criss cross over eachother and not straight into the lines as it should be.

I also put my timing dead on with the contact when at TDC and mine fires up everytime.
