View Full Version : Isis intake manifold

I found a guy selling one for 130 . I have a stock sr20det with 3inch elbow all the exhaust is 3 inch i have intake 255 fuel pump fmic and stock boost. Shoul i get the mani? I tried looking at isis to see witching it is and both say for high power so i dnt wanna lose power. Will i loose power? Sorry this post is crazy im on lunch and do not have much time.

Yes you will lose whatever low end power you have and it will switch the emphasis to midrange and top end. You can run your stock intake well into the 300hp+ range with no problems. Save your money and invest in suspension and brakes or save for parts to build engine.

Sorry i should have mentioned i have coilovers and new brakes. Also i am getting a t-28 soon and a maf and tune with injectors. But will i be fine with my stock setup now with that mani? Like i said it would suck to loose power :( but i could buy it now and throw it in when i get the other things mentioned. Also would just that increase my mid and high end power or stay the same?

I've never heard of them cracking. My buddies swivel broke on his but it was a quick and easy fix. For how inexpensive they are, they're quite durable. I don't know how Enjuku does it, but they use the same casts as the Greddy ones. Same with they're exhausts, it's Greddy's old models.
They will lose a little on the bottom end but after 1st gear you won't notice it, if you notice it at all.
I say go for it. If you don't like it, you can always flip it.
