I believe that the frontier was the only nissan car using the ka24de. But it seems that starting with the 2005 model, the frontier will be using the qr25de.
a moment of silence.
and a look at the silver lining: what does a RWD ready qr25de mean for the 240sx scene?

Not the KA in the 240sx. KA in the Frontier = truck. KA in the 240sx = Sport/pass vehicle motor.....
Not that it fucking matters though.

And rock on to the KA out lasting the SR by 1 year!!

Qr25de Mmmm:D
From what I've been told the crankshatf is really wimpy on them though,at least the FWD ones.
Sounds expensive(swapping from a brand new vehicle,litterally a truck this time:() with little or no aftermarket support for more power.:whip:

rwd QR swaps for EVERYBODY!
What kind of power is the new frontier going to put out?
The QR is certainly a better NA engine than the KA.

said it before and ill say it again...ill tear out the KA, rebuild and supercharge some day....then ill show the QR swap people how its done!

I wonder if they're gonna use similar mounts where it would be possibly to swap the QR in...better yet the 4.0 V6 :p

did the chassis change on the frontiers when the motor changed? if not, the mounts should be somewhat close, assuming the truck KA and the 240 KA are even the same block, it could be somewhat straight forward (making it sit in the engine bay at least.)

If they can make a mount for a H22 into a civic, Im sure someone who wants to could make a mount to fit it in there.

I know its old but even if the mounts are different big f'n deal man! Making a mount kit isnt tooo bad. I wish there some more info of this though, just curious ya know

, assuming the truck KA and the 240 KA are even the same block
would it still be called a KA24de if it was using a completely different block? I've never heard of that happening, but I could be wrong.

I think the only cool thing the qr would bring to the 240sx table is vvt thats it. Well there is the sr, but you would have to import that.
KA= cheaper and easer
QR = pointless
just my .02
