Got an SR swapped in an E30 here.

Any ideas on what it is?

Is it okay to drive with this noise?
It's pretty loud.

Yes you can drive it. VTC rattle is generally only loud when at idle. I just recently changed my VTC cam gear do to rattle. It's not hard at all.
