Okay, so tell me what you guys think. The second picture is kinda weak, but you get the idea (lay the cover back on flush)

It fits better than it looks..the one corner is sticking out because im pushing in on the middle, the thing isn't RTV'd yet.

seems awkward to me.... wouldn't both fit in one slot on top of each other?? that way you'd even have 1 useful vent.

looks pretty good. Just a suggestion if you are going to put any more gauges in there:

my top vents (those, the ones behind steering wheel and by doors) dont work..so they get electronics..greddy gauges go behind steering wheel.

well, if you like how it is... it just seems like there's a lot of wasted space with one thing in each vent.

more room for stickers
I just think it looks less cluttered than the gauge + stack idea. As for now, I have a fuel leak  So i gotta fix that, I probably just didnt put a fuel line as far as I shouldve. Oh well, everything else works. I'll post pics of my car soon.

I like the flush look
but if it was me I'd do them stacked and have one useful gauge
as for me my vents behind the steering wheel house the scramble boost switch, 2 step arming, 2 step engaged momentary push button (also have it rigged to clutch), 2 step engaged flip switch for valet mode, also have the nitrous switches but no nitrous yet. and my center vent holds water temp, oil temp, and egt temp

what material did you use? I was thinking it would be sweet to put two 52mm guages in the 2 vents that are behind the steering wheel

DRFT, stop postwhoring. it's unbecoming.
my 2 yen: no. I'm not a fan of cutting dash, ripping out vents, etc. I like stealth and low-key. My suggestion: put vents back in and mount these inside the pocket under the radio, about 1-1.5" from the outer edge (just deep enough so viewing and adjusting isn't difficult)
Anyhoo, good job on trying new stuff.
Charles: seriously. wtf. your 'chopping skills make me dumbstruck. and not in a good way.

Mr. Meph, everytime i see your name appear in the most recent reply, im affraid you locked my thread. Lol. Charles, word on the chopping..but who cares, you have like 10x more posts than I do EDIT: 20x :Owned:
It's ABS plastic, I'm putting gauges back behind the steering wheel too.
Mr. Meph again, I would've put them there, but my b&m in backwards so first gear is further up, as is 3rd and 5th, interferres with adjusting while driving. No big deal, looks nice anyway.

i think its ugly
but that's just me
i would just put gauges in there and control units down below in the DINs
but its preference
pretty cool though. :) i always like DIY stuff!

When I originally did my switches behind the steering wheel in the old vent spots I used black plastic. then I redid them with carbon fibre. The center vent is and always has been carbon fibre.
