Okay I was planning on doing a vlsd z32 diff swap to my s13 hatch, would I need a auto or manual diff? or if it doesn't matter??


plus what else would I need to complete it?? I've haven't found a exact answer to a VLSD swap with a z32 diff, its quite confusing me. I wanna use the z32 diff because of same ratios. HELP!! much appreciated!

But it still doesn't answer my question, which is "Can I use a z32 diff from a automatic tranny or a manual.. does it matter?

I don't think it matters so long as it isn't a twin turbo diff.

I am about to drop the TT Z32 into my S14.
Some mods to the sub frame are the order of the day .
My S14 runs the factory LSD with the 3.7 ratio. Z32 tt is almost the same.

So I a N/A z32 diff with outputs where the outputs are a 5 start pattern, I basically use early j30 axles where the bolts are also 5 start pattern which should bolt right on the, correct??

You are correct, it will bolt right in if you use the j30 5 bolt axles. I'm running the exact same setup in my coupe right now and it works great! You also have to swap out the z32 diff cover for the one on your s13 but I'm sure you already knew that.

Thanks man!! Good lookin out, and I actually didn't know about the diff cover, but I sure do now..
