ok guys, so i tapped my ecu harness trying to install my SAFC. Now, i didnt cut any wires, i used those splice things from radioshack. All was well and dandy until after I started her up once.
A bit of story, as my girlfriends dad and I were installing it, we noticed that on the diagram the IG power source that the SAFC needed was a continuous power source, so we tapped another IG power source and that made the car run like total poop. So we said no. After that we called it a night (it was late) and when i started the car it was idling really bad then got back to normal, and as i was leaving her development i noticed i wasn't getting boost and all i could smell was gas.
I checked for boost leaks, no loose couplings.
now, i did turn a dial in the SAFC under the rpm settings, but i put it right back to where it was. but i think that has something to do with it, is there anyway to reset my ECU to erase any accidental setting?
I have a 96 zenki, so i used N4-A when attempting my install.
am i just stupid, or did anyone else have this problem?
