Hello all,
I just picked up this car a few weeks back and drove it all the way from Atlanta to KY, and it drove like a champ. Soon after getting it home and getting the clear title in my name, low and behold i found another car i want to move on. I am going to list the same ad the previous owner had as some people were interested. Text me at 502-229-one 3 two seven.
I am going to ask $10,000 for the car. I am willing to throw in an extra LS1 block that is at the machine shop as i type. EXTRA FRESH SHORTBLOCK

1978 280z third owner vehicle. Always been garage kept since ownership and the body and limited rust speaks to that. Only rust being minor surface rust from chips in the paint allowing minimal surface rust in some of the body panels.

As for the body it is a straight no accident and stock line Datsun. No flares, Gnose, etc.

Mods to the S30 chassis are as follows:

6 point autopower roll cage
Eibach lowering springs
Tokico HP struts
Techno Toy Tuning tension rods
Cusco front strut brace
MSA rear strut brace
MSA front lip/Air dam
240z style fiberglass bumpers (both front and rear)
Konig rewind wheels, with fairly new toyo proxes tires.

This particular S30 has a LS1 swap with a T56 6spd trans as well. Engine was rebuilt, built and freshened end of 2011 and has seen roughly 10k miles since.

Mods to the engine are as follows:

Custom built Cam (do not have lift or duration specs)
LS6 intake manifold
Titanium push rods
Comp valve springs, seats, retainers
shorty headers
custom single exit exhaust
brand new 28ln injectors
aftermarket fuel rail
Aeromotive three port FPR

On a very conservative tune the car made 355hp to the wheels. Since then I have yet to try and push my tuner to make more out of the engine as it has more to go. Just never saw the need as the car weighs under 2800lbs is plenty fast enough.

I have plenty of upgrade parts for the car as well. STI diff to handle more power and better lap times at the track. Huge Radiator and SPAL fan, Defi oil temp, oil pressure, coolant temp and EGT gauges and all sensors and a few others that all can be worked out in the trade or sale.

Kid lived here that used to own it. Spray painted the block silver and would tell people it was a 5.7 block.

Seriously glad I did not trade now. Still an awesome car with an awesome motor, I had a L33 240sx myself, but just not worth the same.

My car has a 5.3 come fuck with it :)....nice car if u want a 800whp 5.3l(hahaha) Kouki pm me if u wanna throw some cash on top...I'd take a 4.8l/5.3l over a ls1 anytime just a ls6 cam/ls1 intake it will rev higher and faster and make the same power....

Mine had an alum. 5.3 in it... I know what they do lol. Awesome motors and can't make great power when boosted. Still doesn't make it worth as much as an actual Ls1,6, etc motor.

Again I don't see why not I mean a ls6 is a high dollar oem engine...I honestly would rather buy a car with a stock 6.0l iron block than one with an ls6

I'd rather have an actual Ls motor of I was to keep it all motor, iron for boost.
Just in my eyes.
All around great motors... Just how what I like. Call me crazy!

I am aware that a ls1/6 is a 5.7...my spare motor (I this damn 5.3 ever breaks which isint looking like it) is a tsp 408 setup in a 6.0 block with l92 heads :)

Fuck off....people shitting in a thread for no reason...and cutting a price in 1/2 because its a 5.3 not a Ls?it makes more whp than an ls6....i won't say it's worth the same because for some stupid reason that isint how it works with these lsx motors but you have to figure an ls1 motor is all around my area for 800-1000$ a 5.3 can be had for 200-500$ so even at that call it worth $1000 less than having and Ls1....but it makes more power than an ls1 and OP still hasn't posted to confirm its not an aluminum block...

It's an iron block, this is verbatim what the previous owner PM'd me when he wanted to trade for my 510.

"It is a 5.3l iron block with the 241 (ls1) heads. I had possibly planned on later adding either a Turbo or a supercharger to the engine setup. And thus the iron block was more desirable then the aluminum block as they are prone to cracking under boost."

1) not as advertised - 5.3 is not worth as much as ls1
2) learn to take a joke
3) OP should come back and clarify things, which is yet to happen, but understandable, we all have lives outside these places on the Internet
4) it's a great deal, extremely tempting
