2002 Lexus GS300 - No title - trade for wheels

I have no title for this car, first off. Long story short, I bought it from a guy that had it passed to him through his dead grandad. He had a loan out on it before hand. I bought it thinking I could get a title for it because of this. I've asked, been told no, and that's where I'm at.

2002 Lexus GS300 It has 180,000 miles on it. The only thing wrong is it has some scratches and the side mirror on the passenger side is broke off . Normal wear and tear on the inside with strong wear on the armrest.
My intentions are to trade this car for a set of 4 wheels. 5x114, 17's, 18's, 19's, pref with tires. Or another car with a similar situation. Or parts. Just lmk.
I also have a lightly used set of XYZ coilovers that could go with if they're not already on at the time. Without - 2500 (trade value), with, 3k. Thanks and godbless.

I would assume you can't. I don't wanna give false hope but maybe a mechanic could write a lean on it. But without the title, I dunno.

the company that holds the lien has the title.

otherwise, you can file for a lost title

also, in the event you do sell the car, you can file for the lost title that way, and just directly pass it onto the new owner.
