dear zivilians i need your help!!!

ok so yesterday i was messing around doing my wideband sensor harness. so i do it no problem car starts and runs like usuall my af great numbers for a untuned s14 sr. any ways i drive to work and when i leave i go to put on my lights to drive and and beat no cluster and no tail lights i no guys check the fuse and shorts and bare wires. well i did and i cant find nothing the fuse is still getting power and is not blown. i own a power prob and trust me the fuses are good. its not the dimmer switch i took it apart and the board is good. people say check the ground from the aftermarket radio i did and its grounded in a good spot. and when i check with the probe it is good. i took the radio out nd the din basically the whole middle console area and dropped the knee guard and the steering colum cover found a few bare wires nd i taped em up and still nothing. I am a little stuck it is my daily and i need it to go to work. u guys already no if u own a 240sx u get targeted by the cops and i don't need a shit load more tickets then what i already have so if you guys can please give me a little insight on what i should check other then what i said i did i would really appreciate it thanks again zilvia

Question1. Does, the power probe read voltages or does it just let you know there's power?
Question2. Have you recently taking anything apart? seems like you have, start taking apart anything you did recently.
Question3. Do you think that no blown fuse or relays make it better, you are wrong your system is entirely screwed up and I would charge you the max just to look at it.

Power probes and test lights are OK, when you can switch power on and off with the probe connected. A multimeter etc. will let you know the voltage etc. so you'll know it's 12v, 5v or 3.3v hint 3.3 and 5v should only be used as triggers for a relay. Most of the time you may not blow a fuse, but the volts on the line will drop to nothing, Only way to know if you messed up or not, could be, if they were ecu sensors, well because the ecu will trigger a fault for that particular sensor in most cases. Not saying that's what you did, just that I've seen it before.

So my suggestion is to double check fuse, bulbs and undo your most recent install or changes. Maybe you'll blow a fuse and be able to at least pinpoint the circuit.

yes it reads volts yes i did take things apart and looked around for wires i might messed up and could not find anything. but i touched the harness that goes in the steering column cover nd the car went on with no key in the ignition even then the lights would not work but i fixed that problem the turbo timer was tapped in to that harness but i removed it now no more turning on with out the key. im going to put everything back again tomorrow and double check everything again including the ecu for codes. thanks alot cotbu for throwing something out there for me it is appreciated

i had this exact same problem, turned out to be the 12v and tail lamp fuse that were blown. good luck finding out what it is
