dumb maf question, searched

hey just a quick question, I have a few z32 mafs that im selling but its coming time to put my sr in soon, and i dont have a maf for it, so i figured ill just use one of the z32s I have, but im wondering I know people say you need a reprogram or that safc or which ever one it is. well can I still run it. I was thinking maybe you need the reprogram or the safc just if you want to get the most out of the maf. Because I will be keeping it stock for a while. so basically do I absolutely need a reporgram or safc to use maf or can I get by wout it for now. thanks.

you need the reprogram or s-afc to be mapped for that MAF otherwise it won't run right. the maf voltage curves for that one are mapped different than the factory one. spend the $100-$400 on a s-afc or s-afc2

stock ecu wont recognize the Zmafs at all. you touch the gas and your cars gonna die. get the SAFC
