For those of you who have bought the SPL conversion brake lines how do you like em? I'm kinda concerned because they are so cheap. You get what you paid for, hence the concern.

Good stuff. Did a hard track event on them. Checked for leaks. No prob. Plus they add more color to the car when you are working under it.

Just a little info about SS lines.

Earl 2000psi
Russel 2500psi
Fragola 3000psi operating to 12,000psi burst
aeroquip 3000psi
Goodridge doesn't say but makes a ultra light line.
titeflex three 3000psi 5000psi 6000psi
numbers from race car engineering.

There is a diffrence between your SS brake lines. Technafit doesn't list a operating pressure but it would be intesting to compare. I wouldn't put my life or my money on Earls or russel after having the option of the other brake line companies with higher pressures. Also makes sure your lines arn't rubbing on the wheels because you will cut through them.

Any brake line that's not DOT approved I won't mess with...

Some things need to be tested and approved for safety, and brake lines are one of them.

I'll pay $120 for Goodridge and know that $35 more will maybe save my life or keep my car out of the woods...

All our brake lines are made by Techna Fit and DOT approved:

I would make a mention of that on the brake lines page of your site...I see so many knock off parts anymore that aren't tested/certified, that I don't trust them to be unless it's specifically stated.

Good to know...

I dont nkow if anyone was paying atention or I have lost it.. but I beleave he was asking about the s13-s14 to z32 breaklines, and SPL is the only spot i know of that maked thows

personaly I like mine alot.. very easy to work with,.and they are still look like they are doing good after almost a year, I have done a few AutoX's and they are holding up nice.

i have fronts by PDM-racing and rears i got thru heavythrottle... there are definitely options out there.

the ones from PDM are built out of an fittings and braided stainless tube, the heavy throttle ones are similar, but use a rubber boot on the fittings, and look more OEM

the heavythrottle ones look almost ientical to the SPL lines, but cost nearly double :(

whoa, i always thought earls was the best stainless line out there. isnt 2000psi safe enough? i know it doesnt hurt to go up to those lines tested to 3000psi but taka motorsports builds their lines from earls and ppl use them for turbos and brakes.
