I'm changeing my piston rings and valve stem seals and noticed I need new rod bearings and am wanting change the main bearings now also. Was wondering if the bearings for the sr20de fwd would work? This is my DD and needing to know something quick. Thanks

To get the right bearings for your sr20det you need to check the stamp on the inside of the block. I think there is 2 different bearing sizes and that stamp will tell you which ones it takes. Make sure you use regular oil(no synthetic) right after you change the bearings too, to allow them to set in right. Then when you go to change the oil for the first time after the new bearings, only go with a synthetic blend like castrol gtx high mileage. If you go with a full synthetic, the oil pressure will go down and ruin your turbo.

I would check it out but I think the sr20det bearings are wider then the ones in the sr20de.

While this is semi good info, the thread is a year old.
