idk never dyno tested the car. Miatas with the same mods are known to make anywhere between 170-190whp.

i guess the only real way to find out is to Dyno the car. unfortunately i haven't and neither did the previous owner, I would have no problem posting the numbers. if i did dyno the car but from all the forum support, numbers and even a few videos. the 1.6L with all my mods are known to put down good numbers.

So i think my guess was right on. saying mine is good for about 170, with all the mods. if you don't know thermal efficiency take the intercooler off any forced induction car and tell me they don't loose HP. Z31's are known to gain 20-30whp from an intercooler without any additional boost or timing. Supra's Gain HP without more boost, DMS's gain HP without more boost, Z32's Gain HP from upgraded IC's without more boost. but I'll do a little bit of simple math so you can stop shitting my thread, after all it's part of the rules.

please stop shitting my thread, Adding the Intercooler has denser air which allows for more timing; in turn adds HP so yes my 1.6L intercooled can make about 170hp. (the 1.8L engine is 15% more efficient than the 1.6L, so the 180-190hp 1.8 supercharged minus 15% efficiency leaves me at about 153hp (like you said), intercooler is good for at least 15whp, putting me around 168 before we even add timing)

That's cool, even though nothing of a turbocharger was mentioned. I've had 6 miatas and 2 with JRSC and all the bullshit that comes along with it so I'm not talking out of my ass. An Intercooler will simply NOT yield 30 hp in a B6 motor without boost and fueling increase. Plain and simple. If I have no idea what I'm talking about, I'd LOVE to see this guy probe me wrong. Until then I would hold off on ridiculous claims.

lesson 1: Nobody complains when you go too low.
