I see a lot of posts like these and they all have 1 thing in common, wiring specialties harness. Anyways, that's probably not the case. Kind of sounds like a MAF problem.

Cheapest route is to fix your issue and use stock ECU.

Here a couple links that explain how to go about checking your ECU for codes as well as providing you with which codes correspond to which part.

btw, what color sticker is your MAF? Also, what psi do you have your fpr set to? There is a gauge on it right?

Did you email Yury to help you trouble shoot it? Only the speedo should be off but everything else should be working on your cluster.

What errors where you getting on the ECU since you said you had to reset it?

RB25det into s13, only the gas gauge and the lights on the right side work on the dash it's a wiring specialties harness. I can't read the codes because my engine light won't come on my dash. it might be my dash harness, when I press on the plug on the behind the dash the ebrake light works.. Hhmm..the motor its self runs great but idles at high rpm until I lower the fuel pressure or unplug the TPS and plug in only the great plug on the bottom..then she idols nice

I was under the impression that the other plug on the TPS was for an automatic. Do you have a consult cable? It would be wise to get one that way you can hook up to a laptop to your consult port and read any error codes. Have you tried getting a mm and reading the TPS voltages while at closed throttle and WOT? Engine doesn't need to be on for this test just ignition on. (0.45v @ closed / 4.2-4.5v @ WOT.) you should open the TB slowly to read the voltages and watch them increase, they should go up without any hiccups or hesitation. High idle can be due to coolant temp sensor also.

I have no idea what you're trying to ask lol. But if you're wondering about a consult port for your RB25 in your s13 yes it's possible.

This page shows how to wire it up correctly. I've got an extra consult port if you need one.

sorry bro I was in a rush. I do not have a console port. Would i be able to connect it to the OBD 1 port on my s13 dash harness or would i have to pigtail off the ecu? I I wonder if the software is compatible with the s2 ECU? Would i be better off getting a different ecu? Can i wire up an extra warning lamp to check codes ?

I'm on my phone so I can't really copy and paste your quotes

sorry about the lack of communication I've been at work and haven't had WiFi
but to answer any unanswered questions

S14_boss : what color maf ? what is your FPR PSI?
- I have the pink sticker maff for s2.
- fPR PSI is set between 35 and 37 , it pulses so it it's hard to get an accurate reading on the gauge

As long as your wiring harness is wired up properly then yes the OBD1 port on your dash harness should work fine. This is usually found by the driver side kick panel where all the fuses and relay's are. This is exactly how i connect to mine from that port and it works perfect. If it doesn't work for you then you will need to splice in a consult port into the ECU harness.

To answer your questions, the software is 100% compatible with the S2 ECU and there is no real benefit of getting a different ECU unless you were going to tune your S2. It works for me on my S2 ECU and my Z32 ECU w/ NIStune.

I use the programs: ECUTalk or Conzults which both work perfectly.
